Data Savvy Property Pty Ltd, ABN 49 682 506 887 ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, and how we look after it. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What we collect
- Enquiry details you give us. When you use the contact form we receive your name, email address, phone number (if you add it), your investment stage, your budget range and anything you write in the message box.
- Calculator reports. When you ask us to email you a report from one of our calculators we receive your first name, your email address and the figures you typed into the calculator. If you only use a calculator and do not ask for the report, nothing you type is sent to us.
- Usage information. We may use Google Analytics to see which pages are visited, the type of device and browser, and an approximate location. This information is aggregated and does not identify you by name.
- Cookies. Google Analytics sets cookies to tell visits apart. You can block cookies in your browser and the site still works.
Why we collect it
- To reply to your enquiry and arrange a strategy call.
- To send you a calculator report you asked for, and to contact you about it if you ticked the box that says we may.
- To provide our buyer's agent service if you become a client.
- To understand how the website is used and improve it.
We do not sell personal information. We do not send marketing email unless you ask for it, and you can opt out at any time.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers to run the website. They only receive what they need to do their job:
- Web3Forms delivers contact-form submissions to our email inbox.
- Our client management system sends calculator reports and keeps a record of report requests. Its database is hosted in Australia.
- Google (Workspace for email, Analytics for usage statistics).
- Vercel hosts the website. Sanity hosts the website content; it holds no visitor data.
Some of these providers store data outside Australia (for example in the United States). We will also disclose personal information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details for as long as we need them to answer you and, if you become a client, for the period our professional and legal obligations require. After that we delete or de-identify them.
Security
The website is served over HTTPS. Enquiries are delivered to a password-protected business mailbox. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Email info@datasavvyproperty.com.au and we will respond within 30 days.
If you are not happy with how we handled your request, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top tells you when it last changed.
